At Discovery Point, we always try to "think like a parent", and to approach situations from a "what would I do for my own child?" viewpoint. We always strive to do whatever is in the best interest of your child.

For two years, we have received "The Best of Henry" Award (2007 and 2008) as the best early childcare/development center in Henry County. This award was the result of our parents direct recommendations - to us that makes it even more prized.

All of our Staff are required to have Criminal Background Checks, First Aid and CPR Training and at least ten hours per year of State Approved Training. In addition, our Staff all have had at least five years teaching and childcare experience.

We have been awarded two state funded Georgia Lottery Pre-K classes as well as having a third Private Pre-K class. We are very proud of the accomplishments of our students and the results of our teachers and parents working together to give their children the best start possible on their academic studies.

To maintain the momentum and fluency from public school, we also offer Pre-K Prep(Pre-K and Kindergarten) and Scholars Club (grade 1-12) summer bridge programs. With about two hours of daily study (no 'burnout' risk here), our excellent teaching staff helps maintain students' knowledge levels to keep confidence high when the new year begins. Their will also be a introductory class in Spanish. This year, these programs are offered at no additional charge. Parents only have to purchase a workbook which will be used in the program.
We are dedicated to providing an educational and exciting summer of fun for the children. These programs will keep their activity level high and help them retain and advance their knowledge.

We also sponsor girls and boys Softball and T-Ball teams in Henry County.

Our Summer Camp Program begins registration May 1st. We have a calendar full of fun and field trips planned for children from 5 to 12 years of age.

We plan at least two or three exciting field trips per week, daily arts and crafts projects and outside play. Our field trips include visits to the two Fernbank Museums, Puppetry of the Arts, Cubihatcha Nature Preserve, Dauset Trails, Noah's Ark, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Atlanta Zoo, Truett Cathay's Rock Ranch, weekly library visits, roller skating, bowling, picnics in local parks, Great Escape children's movies, etc., etc. All the costs of these activities (which can total $30 - $40 per week) are included in the weekly rate; not added on to a deceptive lower rate.
